Eliana Wool, PsyD
I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in the Chicagoland area, with telehealth services available in many states nationwide. I use a relational and warm therapeutic approach that is informed by cognitive behavioral principles. With over a decade of experience, I work with a diverse range of clients, and I specialize in providing individual psychotherapy to young adults and adults who struggle with concerns related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, and self-esteem. I am also certified by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) to provide specialized services addressing sexual health and sexual concerns.
I value warmth, thoughtful pacing, and personalized care as essential pieces of constructive therapy. As a psychologist, I understand that in the face of adversity, a person’s view of self and view of the world can shift. Oftentimes that shift can lead a person to feel displaced and uncertain of how to cope. Through a supportive therapeutic partnership, I aim to empower my clients to utilize internal strengths in order to regain a sense of self and discover a source of resilience.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking walks with my labrador retriever, and throwing on the pottery wheel.

Wool Psychology, LLC is an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO. If you would like to use this plan to pay for your psychotherapy, the practice will submit claims to your insurance company.
If you have a plan outside of Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, your insurance company may provide reimbursement for treatment with Wool Psychology, LLC as an out-of-network provider. In this situation, the client is responsible for full payment at the time of service, and upon request, will be provided with an invoice that the client may submit to their insurance provider. It is recommended that you contact your insurance company prior to the onset of services to learn more about your out-of-network benefits.
You have the choice of self-pay or use of your insurance benefits for your psychotherapy. In circumstances of unusual financial hardship, I may be able to negotiate a fee adjustment or payment installment plan.

Length and frequency of therapy sessions depends on a number of considerations. I typically schedule one 45 or 55 minute session at the same time each week. When it is clinically indicated, we may meet more frequently. As treatment progresses, sessions may become less frequent.
This is a topic we discuss during our intake appointment and revisit throughout our work together.

When we schedule an appointment, I reserve a time just for you. If you need to cancel, I ask that you please do so with at least 24 hours notice. If you miss, cancel, or change your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, you may be subject to a fee of $50. This policy is in place out of respect to your therapist and other clients, who would have otherwise been able to meet during that time slot.
